From field to plate – the "Taufrisch" initiative in the Valle Aurina
"Taufrisch" is a little fruit and vegetable miracle. Right here in Campo Tures, we’ve teamed up with other hotels, cultivating a field to grow everything that ends up on your plate: crisp vegetables, fresh herbs, sweet berries. This way, you know exactly where it comes from – directly from the locality. This is what the Valle Aurina tastes like, and this is what sustainability tastes like: truly good!

We are proud to be part of a wonderful vegetable adventure right in Campo Tures. More than three hundred varieties of fruit and vegetables grow in the Taufrisch field – from classic vegetables to heirloom, local, and rare varieties – as well as flowers for insects, plant diversity, and decorations. Everything is harvested together with other Tauferer guesthouses and ends up fresh on your breakfast plates.
The fact that everything grows naturally, in mixed cultures, according to the rules of the plant communities, makes it special. This way, even the leaves, shoots, and roots can be used to great effect. You are also welcome to visit the field by appointment, meet our gardener, and learn how everything works.
