The best ways to reach the Valle Aurina with its incredible three-thousand-metre peaks:
- By car:
Brennero motorway to Bressanone/Varna strada della Pusteria to Brunico.
From East Tyrol through Alta Pusteria to Brunico.
From Venice and Treviso travel the preferred route to Alta Pusteria, then follow the strada della Pusteria to Brunico.
In Brunico, turn into the Valli di Tures e Aurina and follow the hotel signs.
- By train:
The service is temporarily interrupted due to works on the railway line (until the end of January 2026).
You can use the train to the Fortezza/Franzensfeste or Bressanone/Brixen railway station and from there take the bus to the Aurina Valley (see below).
- By bus
With Flixbus you can reach South Tyrol several times a day (stops Bolzano-Bozen/Bressanone-Brixen/Chiusa-Klausen/Vipiteno-Sterzing/Merano-Meran). The connecting shuttle South Tyrol Transfer will take you the last few kilometres from the long-distance bus stop to Hotel Heini. Alternatively, you can take the public bus to Valle Aurina/Ahrntal.
